BATHROOM UPDATE!!!!

So here is the bathroom update as promised.  The only thing is that the trim is not on yet, that should be accomplished this week.  And then I will have to paint it.
So I staged the place with the only towels that look decent in there, so if there are any gift giving friends/relatives/passing acquaintances who want to buy me a nice thick mushy set of brown or cream towels, that would be FANTASTIC!!!!  :)  Lol.

Also, you will see in the photos the lovely glass of dark and nasty beer that I love so much that later (about 5 minutes later) became a tragedy.  That is right, the whole thing spilled right on the kitchen floor-- such a waste of perfectly good Berghoff beer.  Fortunately the wine glass did not hit the floor, not sure how I ended up having the little rim at the bottom under my hand, but I did. So the kitchen then smelled pretty stale for the evening, had to get out the Mr. Clean and everything.  Only got to have about 1/4 bottle, tops.  Sigh.

I also went for a good long walk today, not quite as long as Saturday, but almost.  I did not go for speed, I went for endurance and photography!

Today the sun was kind enough to come out for an hour or so, it was great.  One of the songs on my playlist is "Soak up the Sun" by Sheryl Crow- a perfect credo for the day!

Fall is my favorite!

You gotta love fall.  The leaves, the colors, the foods, the lack of hot weather!  All good things, the only draw back to fall is what follows.  But we wouldn't appreciate summer nearly as much if we didn't have that contrast.  You don't feel joy as fully if you don't experience occasional strife or sadness.  You won't feel love as fully if you don't go through tough times as well.  So I am enjoying the colors of fall to their fullest, because I know what will follow and I remember what is recently passed.  And I do embrace them all- even if I whine about the hard times.  :)

A little attempt to catch up

I am soooo far behind on photo posting, that darn bathroom has really cut into my time!  :)  An update on that will come soon.  It is looking really great.

A fantastic friend of mine, and fellow blogger, encouraged me to do this.  This being a before and after sort of picture for my weight loss.

As of this moment, I am 42.6 lbs down, on my way to 51.4 pounds.  I am astonished at my progress in terms of pounds, looks, the way I feel and my fitness level.  I have been going to the local gym and lifting weights and TRYING to get used to the elliptical so I have a good exercise for winter-time.  This type of blog post seemed out of the question only a few months ago......

Thank you to all my favorite cheerleaders- you know who you are- for listening to me whine, complain, beg for hugs and decompress.  I couldn't have done it without you.  And I'm sure there will be more whining to come!  I have a surprise coming for myself, but I'll let you in on that at a later date!
