Sunny Saturday

It was a gorgeous day yesterday!  The SUN was out! It was spectacular and I am sort of disappointed to say, such is not the case today.  I see little snowflakes floating down out there, so once again- grey is the color of the day.  Oh well.

I have a lot of stuff I want to do today: first and foremost removing signs of Christmas from the house.  For now.  I would have had it done by now, but a certain sicko has been firmly entrenched in my livingroom for the last 3 days.

Now I am sure that it was no fun for him, either, but I couldn't walk through the room without that pathetic voice wanting something.  Oh brother.  So, regardless, I am cleaning up today.  I am hoping he and the Barber can go hang out in the cabin this afternoon!

I also plan to spend 20 minutes relearning lesson 1 of Italiano and going for a walk!  Sun or no sun, I need to get back at it.  I'll just go on the road today, get some miles.  I probably should wear my Yaktrax, but we shall see.  I know it is going to take a while to do the Christmas stuff so I need to prioritize.  1a. Take down Christmas  1b. Go for a walk 2. Italiano 3. eat lunch..... good plan so far.

I have to go back to school tomorrow, and that is good and not....   I do have to sit down and look at my google docs for work and see what the heck I am doing with everyone this week.  Believe it or not, there is only 3 weeks left to the semester.  YIKES!!  This affects my elementary not one bit, but wow does it affect my HS plans.  It seems like ages since I have been at school....

This virus has been obnoxious- I feel like I lost 2 weeks of my life.  And the coughing lingers and it is such a pain.  I hope none of  you get this.  I am not sure what the heck it was, not a cold really.  Oh well, at least I did not pass it on to any of the grandchildren.  Speaking of which - only a little over a week to Grandkiddo #4!!  Woo HOO.  I can't wait to get down there and hang out with them a few days later this month.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the sun photos.  I am enjoying putting them on here, as it is the only way I will see any blue sky until later in the week.  Oh well.

I hope you all enjoy your Sunday and find a little joy!

sunrise, sunset

Hmm, I am unintentionally setting up my posts with song lyrics and titles.  Oh well.  I have a lot of posts in me today, apparently, but I really need to get going.  So pancake Sunday is out of the way, and now I have somethings to do before I hit the gym at 10....

However, I need to post these photos, proving to myself and others that there is indeed the potential for warmer weather, or at least an occasional sun sighting.  My optimistic outlook on life prevails, no matter what internal and external forces are involved.

Beautiful sunset
I saw an amazing sunset last night, and in fact Rob from Channel 9 put it on the weather last night!  That never fails to make me smile.  And then this morning I was surprised to see not only was there no snow in the air, but indeed there was a sunrise to be admired, of course there were some clouds encroaching, but this was good!

Equally lovely sunrise
So sit back and admire the view, especially if you are in this upper tier of the midwest.  Rumor has it that May is only a few weeks away.

Frosty sunlit trees

Somewhere under there are my daffodils

And so it goes in Wisconsin....

Live your life in spite of everything...... and certainly in spite of the snow.

And find your  joy!

A Phew Phast and Phurious photos for Phun!

Nothing like a little alliteration to end/start your day

Lol.  Anyway, fatigue is coloring my world right now, and I am missing talking to you all.  I have a few pix and a random thought or two.

First, my son Greg is getting married in just over 2 weeks. I am officially going to be a wreck soon.  Not that anyone is going to know it except for me.  I cover my wreckage well.

Second, my childhood home will soon not be mine to visit......  I can't even express how I feel about this yet.  Well, I guess I did do that in a previous post but this is wrenching.

Third, all I really want to do is take pictures and edit.  Is that too much to ask?  I bought my lottery ticket!  I have been saying that if I win I will be heading to Paris to hide, but until my passport comes it, will have to be New York City, I think.....  is this counting my chickens before they hatch?

Next, I am pretty much loving my job again.  THANK HEAVEN things have settled down a little, now I just have to make a point of avoiding joy stealers and crazy makers.  Of which I have a few lurking around the edges of my life. GIVE ME JOY PEOPLE!!!  :)

Ok, my tiredness is showing, and so this alliteration titled post is done.  Enjoy these rocking Phabulous Phew photos  (hehehe there is the whole "f" thing again!!)

Until next time- be a joy giver!!  And go to bed and get some sleep!

Fall is my favorite!

You gotta love fall.  The leaves, the colors, the foods, the lack of hot weather!  All good things, the only draw back to fall is what follows.  But we wouldn't appreciate summer nearly as much if we didn't have that contrast.  You don't feel joy as fully if you don't experience occasional strife or sadness.  You won't feel love as fully if you don't go through tough times as well.  So I am enjoying the colors of fall to their fullest, because I know what will follow and I remember what is recently passed.  And I do embrace them all- even if I whine about the hard times.  :)

Many of these photos were taken during Saturday's 2 hour long marathon walk!  6.8 miles!!  Some were taken in the past 2 weeks.  More posts will follow

Monday morning beauty!

It takes me way longer to get my walk done than it should in the morning.  It is because I always have to stop for things like this.  Totally worth it, though.  Stop and see the joy!
