A little attempt to catch up
I am soooo far behind on photo posting, that darn bathroom has really cut into my time! :) An update on that will come soon. It is looking really great.
Here are a couple shots from this past week. An early morning sunflower pic and a late evening sunset. Enjoy all my joy giving friends!!!

Before and sort of after
A fantastic friend of mine, and fellow blogger, encouraged me to do this. This being a before and after sort of picture for my weight loss.
As of this moment, I am 42.6 lbs down, on my way to 51.4 pounds. I am astonished at my progress in terms of pounds, looks, the way I feel and my fitness level. I have been going to the local gym and lifting weights and TRYING to get used to the elliptical so I have a good exercise for winter-time. This type of blog post seemed out of the question only a few months ago......
Thank you to all my favorite cheerleaders- you know who you are- for listening to me whine, complain, beg for hugs and decompress. I couldn't have done it without you. And I'm sure there will be more whining to come! I have a surprise coming for myself, but I'll let you in on that at a later date!

Adventures in Tiling
I am posting because I have many friends who are interested in my tile laying saga! I am probably about half done with this project and am frankly exhausted! I did nothing except laundry, dishes and tile work for 3 days!! And then today, long day of classes, walk, dinner, tile!! I whine, I know!
So here is a bit of a rundown on what has been going on...........
Our bathroom needed some serious help, so I employed Carpenter Joe to get it done!! We started with a pretty old, dated, pink bathroom with an old, leaking bathtub and a really cold shower! Not a pleasant way to start or end the day. The window has been replaced, the tub removed with some effort, apparently, new plumbing put in all over the place and now a new bathtub.
I have picked out pretty much everything that is going into this room, and so I have a personal stake in this! So I was elected to tile, much to my excitement and chagrin! Never have done it before, other than the random stuff that I do with concrete sculpture!! I am a random kind of person, so all that measuring and symmetry and precision is frightening! I do enjoy using a nice power tool, though!
I have multiple days of work to do yet, but it is awesome to see it coming along. And I promise I will not do away with the Mad-Accountant before it is all said and done!! :)

It's Labor Day Already????
Good heavens, I cannot believe how much time has gotten away from me. I am so behind in my blog and I have people clamoring for a new one!! Well, maybe not so much, I had one kind person mention that he needed to see more photos. To me that IS a clamor. Lol
I am going to put a few photos here this morning and attempt to update over the next day or so.
Besides the usual day to day life, school, and all, we are doing a bathroom reno. Carpenter Joe is that is, but I have been assigned tile duty. As you can imagine, this will be the subject of a post or two. It's been a bit of a bumpy ride, but I see some smoother roads ahead.
Back to the pictures!
The first several are from Ashland a week ago and the clouds are from last weekend. I love me a good cloud picture! More to come!!
